We recommend inflating to 14 PSI for normal paddling conditions. While the board is rated to 15–16 PSI, stopping at 14 PSI gives you full rigidity on the water with a safe margin for heat expansion. On hot days or when leaving the board in direct sunlight, the air inside expands — consistently over-inflating in warm conditions can stress the seams over time. 14 PSI is the sweet spot.

The 35" width is the main reason. It gives you a stable, wide platform to stand, cast, and move around without second-guessing every shift in weight. Two cargo bungees hold your cooler, tackle bag, and dry storage. The 450 lb capacity means you, your gear, and a full day's kit all fit comfortably. Note that the Model X doesn't include fishing rack mounts — if a rod rack is essential to your setup, the Model XL is the better fit.

Punctures are rare — performance-grade triple-layer PVC is tough. That said, inflatables aren't indestructible. Oyster beds, dock nails, and sharp rocky shorelines are not your friends — avoid contact where possible. If a puncture does happen, air releases slowly rather than instantly, giving you time to paddle to shore safely. Every board ships with a repair kit — most fixes take under 5 minutes and are virtually invisible.

Almost certainly not. Dogs may scratch the EVA deck pad over time — that's normal wear — but puncturing triple-layer performance-grade PVC with a dog's claws is incredibly rare. The construction is far tougher than it looks. Plenty of iROCKER owners paddle with dogs regularly for years without any issues. If it gives you peace of mind, trimmed nails help protect the deck pad finish.

Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater session — paying attention to the fins, fin boxes, valve, and any metal hardware. Salt left to dry accelerates wear over time. Let the board dry fully before folding and storing, and remove the center handle before folding so moisture doesn't get trapped underneath.

Yes. The board includes D-ring mounts for a compatible kayak seat conversion. Attach the seat, use a double-bladed paddle, and you have a sit-down kayak setup — useful for longer sessions or paddlers who want more back support.

Yes. Deflated and rolled, the board fits in its carry bag and checks as standard luggage on most airlines. Always verify your airline's oversized bag policy — it's one of the biggest practical advantages of an inflatable over any hard board.
